Vote for Homecoming Royalty
Tuesday, Oct. 6 - Friday, October 9 at 4:30 pm

Nominations Rules

As part of Homecoming 2026, we will crown two Royalty. Royalty is selected from a pool of candidates that make up Homecoming Court. Anyone is eligible to nominate candidates for Homecoming Court. All applicants and nominees must be MSUM students, have at least Junior status as determined by credits and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater. They should be actively involved in on campus, be a great example of Dragon Pride and dedicated to MSUM. Nominations for Homecoming Royalty close on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Nominate on Dragon Central

Royalty Interviews start Monday, September 28th and end on Friday, October 2nd.

All nominees will go through an interview process. This process will take place on Zoom or in person starting September 28, 2026. The interview panel will consist of MSUM students, faculty and staff. The interview team will be looking for students who are enthusiastic, poised, articulate, and interested in MSU Moorhead. The number of nominees will be narrowed down to finalists, all of whom will be notified on October 5, 2026 at Dragons Got Talent in the CMU Ballroom. The campus population will then vote online Tuesday, Oct. 6 through Friday, October 9 at 4:30 pm.

Selection to Court is based solely on interviews and scores from the interview. No member of the interview team is allowed to participate if they were part of the nomination process for or work with the nominee.

Please Note: Being selected for the Homecoming Court is an honor and an opportunity to represent the Dragon community. While there will be a Homecoming royalty selection, being a member of the court should not be viewed as a competition between candidates.

MSUM and Student Life will celebrate and promote all Homecoming Court finalists through Homecoming and University social media, as well as Student News and Employee News. We encourage all candidates to support one another and help create a positive and welcoming Homecoming experience for everyone.

Respect for fellow court members is an expectation. Any candidate who disparages, demeans, bullies, or otherwise intentionally undermines another member of the Homecoming Court may be disqualified from the court.
