The Marcil Center for Innovative Journalism, housed in the School of Communication and Journalism, gives students the opportunity for scholarships, apprenticeships and enrichment programs, including conferences and professional collaboration. 

The Multimedia Journalism faculty have worked in the media profession before becoming professors, and they’re eager to share their firsthand experience with you. 

The interdisciplinary nature of this degree gives you a look into the many facets of mass communication, including videography, photography, writing, editing, production, design, social media and more.

Collaborating with peers and professors in and outside of the classroom leads to award-winning publications like Doing It Downtown, The Advocate and Campus News.

You’ll get to know your professors on a first-name basis and interact with them as professionals. Because of these working relationships, your professors are great resources for references and letters of recommendation during your job search.
