Mathematics Department Scholarships
MSUM Department of Economics, Law and Politics offers a variety of scholarships for current and incoming students including, economics, international studies, paralegal and political science. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.

</div></div><div><div class='accordionContent'><p>This scholarship is awarded to incoming transfer students who register as a Mathematics major upon transfer with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must have completed courses equivalent to Calculus I and II at MSUM, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in Mathematics courses applying to a Mathematics major, and have completed at least 24 semester hours of credits with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher. </p>

</div></div><div><div class='accordionContent'><p>This scholarship is awarded to students who are first-year Mathematics majors (including Math Education, Actuarial Science, or Math with a Computational Emphasis). </p>
<p>Please provide a list of mathematics related honors you have received or mathematical activities in which you have participated.</p>
<p>Attach a signed letter of recommendation from one of your high school mathematics teachers.</p>

</div></div><div><div class='accordionContent'><p>This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are majoring or minoring in Mathematics Education for the purpose of pursuing a career as a math teacher OR who are majoring in Mathematics.</p>

</div></div><div><div class='accordionContent'><p>This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are pursing a degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science. </p>

</div></div><div><div class='accordionContent'><p class="MsoNormal">This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who is majoring in Mathematics and has a GPA of 3.25 or higher. </p>

<p>Attach a personal statement explaining why you want to become a classroom math teacher. </p>
</div></div><div><div class='accordionContent'><p>This scholarship is awarded to Math majors who have demonstrated a record of involvement in mathematical service and professional development activities.</p>

<p>Please submit a document describing your involvement in the MSUM Mathematics Department such as: math club, service to the department, math tutoring, math contests, academic conference or meetings, presentations, or journal articles.</p>
