It’s FM Pride Week! Join in supporting our LGBTQ community
It's officially FM Pride Week. The Moorhead & Fargo community will be offering a variety of events to celebrate and support our region's LGBTQ community. At MSUM, we also celebrate the contributions of our LGBTQ students, faculty and staff, whose experiences and perspectives are integral to our vibrant campus community.
At MSUM, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students, employees, and campus visitors. We stand for equity. Our goal is to ensure that every member of our community feels acknowledged, appreciated, and respected.
I encourage you to consider attending Pride activities that interest you. Your participation and support can make a meaningful impact, not just for our LGBTQ students and colleagues, but for the collective strength of our university community. I'm especially looking forward to riding the Dragon Train in the Pride Parade this Sunday.
MSUM is unwavering in its commitment to providing educational resources and support for those who identify as LGBTQ and those who wish to become informed allies and advocates.
- MSUM's Rainbow Dragon Center is an excellent source of information and support.
- Our Safe Zone Program provides education on the LGBTQ community, campus resources, inclusive language and safe spaces, and how to support and advocate for LGBTQ social justice and equality.
- Our Rainbow scholarships support LGBTQ returning and incoming students.
- Our preferred name option allows students and faculty to use the name that best matches their self-identification.
- We have a LGBTQ Employee Resource Group to support and empower faculty and staff professionally and personally.
- Our Bias Incident Response Team is a resource for anyone who has experienced a bias incident. If you experience or witness a hate or bias incident on campus, please report it using the online reporting form or contact a member of the Bias Incident Response Team.
I am proud to be a part of a learning community dedicated to making every member feel welcome and respected.
