Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Bryce Benedict

Bryce Benedict is MSUM’s new Assistant Director of Recreation. Bryce oversees club sports, programs intramurals and special activities. 

Q: What drew you to MSUM? 
A: I wanted to be a part of a campus environment. When I came for my interview, I saw the campus was exactly what I expected and was drawn to the culture that MSUM builds. 

Q: What’s your go-to productivity trick? Or what energizes you at work?  
A: Working with people makes me more productive in comparison to when I am alone in the office. I like to work with people. 

Q: How do you prefer to start your work day? 
A: Caffeine and sunlight. I get my caffeine from Diet Coke. 

Q: If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would you choose? 
A: Ryan Reynolds. He’s my favorite actor; he’s hilarious. I like all the movies he acts in; he’s awesome. 

Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? 
A: Going on a roller coaster. I’m not the type of person who loves adrenaline, but my friends told me to do it at least once in life and it was fun. I’ve never done it since then. 

Q: What’s one thing people might not know about you? 
A: I’m a huge family guy. I check on my uncles, cousins, those relatives that I don’t see a lot. I text them often to see what they’re up to.
