Graduate Cost & Aid

As a graduate student, you will most likely assume greater financial responsibility for your degree than you may have for your undergraduate degree. Several financial aid options are available to help you finance your education, so you can breathe easy and focus on what’s most important—earning your degree.

Graduate students must be admitted to a graduate degree program to be considered for graduate-level funding. Awards are based on full-time enrollment in graduate-level courses (not undergraduate). Full time for graduate students is 8 credits; half time is 6 credits.

All graduate courses have fees in addition to the tuition. Personal property or service charges are also assessed on certain courses. MSUM graduate programs that share courses can have different tuition rates. You will pay the tuition rate of the program the course "belongs" to.
