Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with Healthcare
Lead healthcare education and practice with the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership with a Healthcare emphasis at MSU Moorhead. This doctorate program equips you with the skills and knowledge to teach, practice and perform research across healthcare and education. The program will allow experienced educators, leaders and practitioners who have already obtained their master's degree to continue their education and advance in their field. The program is designed for completion within eight consecutive semesters (three years). When completing the Ed.D. curriculum you will take two eight-week courses (one at a time) each semester in an interactive online format with two face-to-face, one-week summer residencies that occur between the first and second and second and third years. Emphasis and elective courses may have a traditional full-semester format. The residency experiences are dynamic opportunities to enhance your learning through sustained collaboration with MSUM faculty, guest speakers, and other doctoral learners.

Course delivery is via a cohort model through a combination of online courses and interactive instructional mentoring and communications. Study Online with a Two Week Residency. The Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with Healthcare emphasis is available for international applicants who wish to stay in their home country and study online with the following caveat. The applicant must be able to attend a two one week summer residencies at Minnesota State University Moorhead. This program is not eligible for a normal student visa (F1 or J1). Students who need a visa to enter the United States for the residencies should obtain a B-1 temporary tourist visa from their local US Embassy.
